Internships

Classical Music Indy offers internships in marketing, musicology, music education, music librarianship, media production, and development (i.e. nonprofit fundraising). Interns are given real-world learning experiences in a nonprofit arts organization to help grow the organization’s mission and vision.

Interns are guided by a staff mentor but have access to the professional talent across the entire team. Interns must be able to work independently, as a typical week schedule would be a mix of office time + working remotely. Currently, all interns work remotely and must have their own reliable internet, laptop and smart phone.

Interns select at least one strategic project to develop his/her/their skills while working on ongoing tasks that would typically occur in their field of study in a professional setting.

Classical Music Indy is currently accepting applications for the following fall 2021 internships:

  • Musicology
  • Music Librarianship
  • Media Production
  • Music Education
  • Marketing
  • Development
  • Nonprofit or Arts Administration

The deadline to apply for a 2021 summer internship was February 26. Fall 2021 internship applications are open through June 30. If you are interested in an internship, apply here.

He’s pursuing a Master’s in GIS at IUPUI. At age four, Timothy started learning piano from his mother. At Macalester College he discovered jazz, delving into the jazz piano repertoire by learning Oscar Peterson and Art Tatum transcriptions, including ones he transcribed himself. In 2013, he also started taking lessons in jazz with Mike Vasich, and classical lessons with Lauri Saeger-Wright.
