Cello, Teaching Artist
Leilah Smith is a freelance cellist who performs regularly as a soloist/chamber musician and runs her own private teaching studio. She began her musical journey at the age of six with piano lessons. She has her bachelor’s degree from the University of Indianapolis in Music Education, where she was principal cellist. She went on to receive registered teacher-training from the Suzuki Association of the Americas in both cello & piano. She has studied with Liz Efroymson-Brooks, Susan Moses-Bloom, Leonardo Altino, Dr. William Grubb, Dennis McCafferty, & Andre Gaskins.
