Classical Music Indy now brings you free listening playlists through Spotify.

Music in Nature Playlist

Rob Funkhouser, Indianapolis composer, has written a new work which will premiere on April 28, 2018 at 2 pm, at Fort Harrison State Park as part of Classical Music Indy’s Music in Nature series. We put together this playlist of other classical pieces inspired by nature to prep for the concert!

2021 marked the one-year anniversary of Krzysztof Penderecki’s death. As a polish composer and conductor, Penderecki became a leader in the world of contemporary music. One of his first groundbreaking works was his avant-garde piece, Threnody to the Victims of Hiroshima. His music often confronted subjects such as social injustice, religion, and politics.
